Christopher Guest's directing debut -- a film noir homage to the tough talking L.A. Gumshoe. Guest plays all of the characters in the piece -- from the sexy Femme-Fatale, to the mysterious mystic from the East. "Dead Ringer" was a part of the classic pay-cable comedy series, "Likely Stories" which ran on HBO/Cinemax.
