I was at my favorite  resturant in Lahaina, Hawaii, when I overheard a tourest couple at the next table arguing about how to pronounce the city's name.

 He would insist it was "La-hy-na", and she would just as insistantly say "No, it's "La-ha-een-ah".

Just then an employee was walking by, so they asked him "Would you prounounce the name of the place we're in very slowly for us?".

He said, slowly, "Buur-guur-kiing."
