An Inconvenient Poem
written by me, July2nd 2006, the morning after I saw the movie, An Inconvenient Truth
Well man it sucks, that is, when I hear that we're -ucked.
Hope all the lying politicians and big businesses watch Al's movie and up-chuck.
When they realize that all their money and gold bars won't keep their island vacation homes above water.
And man, the tan, they're gonna get while they stand in the sand,
watching more water cover more land,
ruining their plan to ban
the knowledge of how frackingly screwed up was the hand they dealt us
in 2004 in the month of jan
when they forced our courts
to make that bad bad man our prez once again;
somebody aught to take a pan and knock them upside their head
-I sure as hell wouldn't give a damn.

Nice Poem.
replyI wrote it, and I'm not sure if it just sucks or if its got a two star rating because I have a stupid inaccuracy about the fact that the courts actually made dubya our president in 2001 (the first of his two terms, not in '04). But, ya know its a poem! And poems are about feelings and emotion not necessarily fact. And that's how I felt when I wrote it. They might as well have made him president in 2004 "again", becuz its their fault we're stuck with him in the first place, and if it wasn't the courts in 2004, I'm sure it was somebody that kept him in the white house. It sure wasn't his good heart and ability to discern between right and his evil self-interested plans to make him and his buddies richer off a war they knew would last for a very long time on the backs of all our dead servicemen and all the thousands upon thousands of dead Iraqi soldiers, men, women, and children.
