THE POLICE?!? Yeah, 2 officers where in there but he makes it sound like the whole police force was there. AND WHO CARES, I'm sure a lot of people where there taking what they needed, although some weren't, but thats why stores like this have insurance. So what, 2 officers needed some shoes

brazcounreact_unit36, he never said "the police" he titled the joke "some cop don't learn..." If you have shoes on your feet you do not need another pair bad enough to justify stealing them, IMO. They were in uniform, being paid by the city to Protect and Serve and are sworn not to violate ANY laws. This is not why stores have insurance, stores have insurance to protect against disasters and theft from criminals, not to pay for cities to have free for all free shopping days during times of emergencies. Nothing against those trying to survive, but the police should be held to a higher standard and should have been focused on their JOB.

:-@ :-@ :-@ Wonder if these New Orleans "finest" in the video were part of those treated to a Vegas Vacation paid for by the NO citizens WHILE people were still trapped and in need of help! Real nice to be LOOTING, too, when people needed help and were dying. I hope those that went AWOL from their jobs get what is coming to them ... an utter disgrace IMHO...and these will be the very ones bitching because the government isn't taking care of them...does the phrase "taking personal responsibility" or "be accountable for your own actions" mean anything? When an evacuation order is given how about leaving??? Get the concept? Before you get all up in my sh*t, I am talking about those that were able to do so, not the old and infirmed that needed help! I am still amazed they re-elected the very guy that dropped the ball (thanks mayor!) and let hundreds of school buses flood rather than be used to move people! :-O 8-| ok, stepping down off my soap box now... :-* :-* :-* :-D
