How many out there sang along with the video? I don't remember watching this on MTV or VH 1. I consider myself a music lover going way back but I don't know this song but I do know the group.
The 80s were awesome. I don't care what anyone says. Some of it looks silly today because the music scene in general was more into risk-taking and not being afraid to look silly.
some of it was very good. and ground-breaking. if you can get beyond the 'look', and the 'fluff', you'll find some very interesting and insightful lyrics.
especially from European bands. U2 is a product of the 80's, and in my humble opinion the best ever.
...well, I got cut off up there for some reason, didn't get to finish, ha ha. As I was saying, I think there were so many goofy bands because the industry in general was more into experimentation... which meant there was some really bad stuff and some really GREAT stuff. I wonder if any record company would be wiling to take a chance on a bad like U2 today. Today, there seems to be a lot of staleness and mediocrity. Just one man's opinion and not even sure that it makes sense ha ha.

Yes there was some GREAT stuff from European bands. U2 is one of the best for sure. There were terrible bands like POISON
