Yep, when I was a kid my folks' number began with WA (walnut). Come to think of it, it WAS kind of a nut house....

YEAH, AND OURS WAS ILLINOIS ----- .... MY GRANDFATHER'S NUMBER WAS 1 ...... HE WAS THE FIRST TO HAVE A PHONE IN HIS TOWN IN UPPER NEW YORK STATE.... BOY HAVE THINGS CHANGED.......

I think I was the only kid on the block that didn't have a phone until some time after I was in the third grade!

replyRemember we had names for our first two numbers. Example JU8-1111 was Judson 8 and BR5-1111 was Browning 5 depending on the area you lived in.
