Notice how they only showed one side of the disc. Oh, the one about the AAs in the 6V is also BS. I would try floor wax, not that I've tried it, or just spit on the disk, if you don't care about the mess.

Toothpaste is supposed to be the best way to remove minor CD scratches, though I haven't tried it myself. FYI ...
