Description: Here is a video at a different angle of the tasering incident. A student humorously asks Kerry if he belonged to the same Yale secret society as Bush, and the cops arrest him. This is worse than communism.

Oh please! He was being escorted out for disrupting when he freaked out and fought with the police. It was then that he got tazed.

Our rights are being eroded on a daily basis. This is nothing new. Nobody gives a sh** until it affects them directly. Maybe people will be more upset when they get "tased".

It was all a publicity stunt, multiple news sources have reported when he was carrying on and being escorted out he kept asking are you recording this, if they weren't he calmed down.

Are we supposed to be automatons? Yes sir. No sir. right away sir.??? If I was being treated the way he was I sure would want it recorded. I might stop struggling when the cameras were off, since that would be the opening for them to hurt me. Security personnel are notoriously under trained and underpaid. This type of incident should never have happened.

In response to GGHMS above. This is what happened. Meyer first asked about the 2004 presidential election and followed with statements about whether President Bush should be impeached. At that moment the microphone was turned off and police began to take Meyer out of the auditorium. Meyer then started to struggle with the officers. As they pulled him toward the exit, Meyer broke free and tried to get away. At that point, six officers tackled Meyer to the ground and told him to roll over. He continued to yell for help and a female officer warned Meyer if he did not stop he would be Tased. He kept yelling and one of the other officers gave the order to Tase him. Since when does simply "yelling" constitute a need to Tase an unarmed kid? For goodness sake there where six cops pinning the guy down. Are they pussies or something? The fact is those six cops were poorly trained. I've seen a case where a big violent guy was pinned to ground by one tiny but experienced female cop and no Taser. The chick held the big guy in a headlock until assistance came. She was a professional. The Taser was clearly excessive force.

The college had to have cut the microphone. The government cannot restrict freedom of speech, if the college cuts the microphone and asks the student to be escorted out, there is nothing wrong happening. The second the kid resisted the police he opened himself to being tasered. The kid over reacted not the police

As a Canadian it just reinforces our worst fears that the US has slipped into a faciast dictatorship. We need to beef up our military, not to back up your idiot president in his foreign genocides, but to defend out border for the time whne America feels it's oil security threatened. The US relationship with Canda has gone down the tubes with this administration, and the truth is most Candians fear and resent American people now, just as do mostof the rest of people on the planet. THe sad thingis that the American people themselves are ignorant of the things their governemnt is doing in their namen. Governments should be afraid of their peopel, not people afraid of their government. So much for free speech in the US. Republicans have betrayed all the men and women who have given their lives in the casue of defending liberty over the years; they have literally pissed on the graves of your nations war death with their actions. Disgusting but not suprising, sadly.

What dose this have to do with Republicans. It was a Democrat student, at a Democrat collage, with a Democrat speaker. Where do Republicans fit in? In several written accounts after the child was removed, he was laughing! Laughing! Ya that’s a normal response to getting tasered.
