This is a great scene from the movie "Crossroads" (1986) which is the story of a protege guitar player whose skills have been devoted to classical but whose soul belongs to the blues. In comes Blind Dog Willy Foltan harmonica bluesman extrordinare who promises the young man he will teach him the legendary missing Robert Johnson track if he will help him travel back to the Crossroads. Hope you enjoy it!

I forgot to mention that I thought of my buddy, Smelter, when I saw this clip and hoped he might enjoy it!! :-)
replyThe guitarist that duels Ralph Machhio is Steve Vai.
replyI have played for over 30 years. My hats off to that young man for doing such a good cover of the musician actually playing that guitar. Steve Vai is one of the best pure shredders out there and it is always fun to watch him play. I am inspired to try and get some of those sounds out of my rig this weekend. Need to get that movie to see and hear all the great music it must hold. Great one!
