The Fabulous Josephine Baker, international superstar, whose career spanned over 50 years. This short video displays images of her backed by the comedic song "Don't Touch Me Tomatoes." Baker found the field of entertainment difficult in the US in the twenties because she was Black. She left for France in 1925 and was a smash hit in Paris. During World War II she fought with the resistence, and was awarded the Legion of Honor and the Croix de Guerre. She married several times and adopted 12 multi-ethnic children.
