A crazy video that includes a collection of Border Collie-related fun, including agility, companionship and just the silly things dogs do that makes us go.... "Awwwweee" For more videos go to GiseleVeilleux.com

Sad that this video doesn't even pay lip service to the real purpose of border collies--stockwork. It's the reason for all those qualities that attract so many folks to the breed after all.

Even more sad that both of my BCs have such bad hips... even though they were purchased by "good" breeders... they suffer 24/7. ALL of the BCs in this video, Miss Twist24 are rescues and have managed to find good homes... but not good jobs.

The nearest "farm" within hundreds of miles here... is an orange farm. I've found that BCs find oranges very boring and most of them are too high for the BCs to reach... This (jibjab) is not the place to discuss our troubled times. If we could purchase things grown from our country, produced by our country (don't you just love that wheat gluten) we would have more farms, more stock animals and therefore more jobs for BCs. Until then, if we (BC owners) don't want to move to where stockwork is paramount, the BCs and those that love them simply adapt.... Therapy dogs, search and rescue dogs, companion animals, serving the physically and visually impaired, fly ball, agility... you know the list! SEBCRL does a tremendous job at finding a purpose and a home for each rescue (hats off Jerri). Regardless of why they were created or what they were intended to do, BCs can do anything that you ask them to. Thanks for your comment and have a wonderful day.

This video does an AWESOME job in representing the BC. Not just the working BC. If Miss Twist 24 noticed, there are BC's doing agility, which the breed EXCELs in. Our rescue BCs are family dogs. They are not left in the field to stay with the sheep, and they are not JUST herding dogs, although some of us to travel great distances to take our BC's herding when we can. If Miss Twist 24 really knew this breed, she would know that the BC is multi-faceted and can be a companion, service dog, agility dog, obedience dog, tracking dog or whatever-dog. BC's like to work, and they don't care if their only job is to go out and get the paper every morning, or to warn the mother of a child with disabilities that the child is in distress (yes, we have one that does this in this video)
BC's are such magnificent dogs.. I just love them. I move too slow to have one, but... the video kind of epitomizes what "dog" means to dog owners. Thanks.
