The colours are too beautiful to be real. That being said, I would bet that there are people out there who do stupid things like this to their pets.

I am a professional pet stylist, a creative pet stylist and also a national competitor in the styling industry. Other than putting these cats under sedation to get them to hold still, the only other way to have this done would be to computer generate it. Cats are very difficult to groom in a normal situation, this is a hoax. Although, in creative styling the dyes are vegtable based, cats clean themselves and they would still lick it off and ingest it. For anyone out there that wants to try this at home, hire a professional and leave your cats alone!
