Uhm... During passover Jews aren't allowed to eat leavened bread (Bagels included) but before and after Passover it's ok. That's part of the joke of the song... i LOVE IT!

God does care that is why the Bible has so much to say about food. He also says that the reason for eating and cleaning things in His order will keep people from the illnesses that non Jews have that is why Koser Jews are the healthiest humans on the planet. No I'm not a Jew but Jesus was and he said "Do what the Rabbi's tell you." and "If you love me you will do as I say". Search the Bible and do not be stupid. Jesus ordered His followers to observe Passover and the only reason Christian's don't is the Roman's hated the Jews. The thing I want to know is now that Rome is gone why do we keep the old war going? Can't we all just get along?

Shalom means "peace" not hello. But it is used as a greeting (and farewell), wishing peace upon the other person.
