i must say you all are quite funny, in 2008 IL. made it illegal to show al gore's movie in our public schools, besides the many the many lawsuits that he has to go through do to the fact that global warming has been proven false and because of all of the stolen content of the movie. The ice is thicker than it has been in many many years and that lovely polar bear was about 20 ft. from land... besides the fact that they can swim hundreds of miles before they need to take a break.

How about the book "Silent Spring" by Rachel Carson, The National Geographic Society, college courses and the opinion of absolutely every scientist out there for starters? By studying ice cores drilled out of ice sheets, we can look back at the CO2 level and corresponding temperature of every age up to 650,000 years ago. That is *science*, not from the media. I never watch the news, and I don't believe in the "panic attack" thing. The CO2 level has never reached above 300 ppm before now, thanks to the Industrial Revolution. Where do you get your information? "A State of Fear"? That book conveniently chose to record the temperatures of some of the places whose temperatures haven't gone up to calm down readers so that they would question global warming, and therefore go on trusting oil and coal companies. Check your information before you question science.

First off there are hundreds of scientist do not believe in "Global Warming" its actually split pretty close to the middle. Or is there the slight possibility that Global Warming is a hoax and just too many "higher" people are benefiting from the hoax and because of their benefit keep it going? Ohoho, you claim to have any knowledge on the environment, when you have never heard of "Silent Spring". Please, feel free to prove me wrong and provide the name of one scientist (and not one who works for an oil company) who does NOT believe in global warming. One. (Ha, I'll bet if you provide a name, I'll find it in the first 5 results in google of "Scientists who don't believe in global warming") You argue with me, but support no facts to back up your arguments. No, in the past 650,000 years, CO2 levels have not been above 300ppm as they have now. That is a fact. I promise, it's in the records. Silent Spring is not about global warming, it's about pesticides. And no, it is non-selective, and mandatory reading for every environmental scientist. And it's from the 1970s, far away from the global warming "scare". And since when is it POPULAR belief?? If it's not in politics, if it's not convenient for anyone anywhere, how can it be popular? I mean, maybe for activist teenagers it's become a trend, but I, an upcoming scientist myself, must have no bias. The people who do not benefit from global warming go against it full force. I don't think you have much right bashing the people who benefit from a "hoax" (Which it is not) to support it. Learn more. Also, take me up on researching anything from the National Geographic Society, talking to a scientist, or reading a factual book. Really, don't let your uneducated opinion try to overrule a scientist's facts. It's real. Deal with it. Don't argue against something you know absolutely nothing about, because you won't listen to it.
