I think we're forgetting something here. Armageddon sounds better lyrically than apocalypse. And both of them sound better than "everyone's going to blow each other to pieces, yeah!" I don't really think these guys are saying that Revelations got it right after all. It just sounds good, and it gets the idea across.

Lol, i have never been 2 church in my life, so I think that it is all a bunch of crap. God doesn't really care what happens on Earth, and Jesus was just a cool guy who got nailed by the most powerful current nation on Earth. Armageddon does not exist from a religious standpoint, and the planet is not even close to achieving armageddon. Seriously, i probably know more about history and predicting the future than any of you people. BTW, by "predictiing the future" I mean guessing what will happen based on current trends. Also, for all of you idiots out there who think nukes are bad, use your brains please. I know you have brains hidden somewhere under all that liberal BS. Consider this: nuclear weapons have done more for peace in the past half-century than any human. However, this is due mainly to that only two sane countries, US and the USSR, had nukes. Now that even some 3rd world countries have nukes, I think we might have a spot of trouble. However, before you predict the US getting nuked, also remember that the Patriot missiles, which are set up almost everywhere in the US, are easily capable of defeating any inbound nuclear missiles.

Honestly its pathetic that people are arguing whether or not they should have said armageddon. First off, it's called poetic liscense; Armageddon fit with the beat and syllable count. Also, in the song they are talking about a nuclear war that is almost iminent, which would be similar to armageddon in that many people will die and suffer. The song is not using the literal, religious sense of the word. So stop with this petty arguing!
