Stupid arguments to oppose the smoking tax...People like you just add to the high cost of health care by knowingly bringing on preventable diseases and then expecting treatment you can't pay for out of pocket. We might as well use your money to pay for others' health care.

It must feel good to be so ignorant to the facts. People like this make me feel ashamed when I tell them Im from Indiana. Mitch has kept from raising taxes for everybody by using the funds generated from the lease of the toll road. Indiana has the 2nd most tobacco users in the country and also happens to have the 2nd lowest cigarrette tax. Think there is a connection??? Hopefully this will cause people to rethink their lifestyle. If it doesn't, the extra money funds healthcare. Win, win.

I think if you are gonna pick on the smokers you may as well pick on the drinkers, Oh I forgot government makes so much money on alchol already. That must be why it is not in this tax issue. And are those of us that have health insurance, who have paid through the nose already for those who do not going to be any better off. Of course not. We just keep making the middle class average hard worker pay and pay and pay and keep giving and giving to those who chose not to make a living for them selves or there kids. Best be careful what you vote for. Next you will have to pay higher insurance because you have a family history that is high risk. Or becaue you are 5 lbs overweight. Where is the limit

Okay for all you peeps out there who are ignorant to OUR MAN MITCH...he is a moron, along with all the others who voted for the stupid time change. Hello, do any of you get it...he is MINDLESS. How many of you really like going to bed with the sun shining through your window. How many of you like trying to get your children asleep with the sun shinging through their window. How many like to spend the summer evening outside and not have to stay up until 10 or 1030 to use your outdoor fireplaces OR enjoy the evening listening to the sounds of crickets. NO LONGER DOES MITCH OR OUR GOVERNMENT AS A WHOLE WANT US TO ENJOY ANYTHING GOOD ABOUT INDIANA. PLEASE SOMEONE TAKE ME BACK TO YESTERYEAR WHEN YOU COULD SIT ON THE PORCH AT DUSK AND IT NOT BE CLOSE TO MIDNIGHT......OH YEAH AND DON'T FORGET THAT THE REASON FOR ALL OF IT WAS FOR BIGGER COMPANY PROFITS AND TO SAVE ENERGY COST...IF IT SAVES SO MUCH USE THE MONEY FOR HEALTHCARE COST.....DUH
